A regular meeting of the Youth Policy Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of State Counsellor Yerlan Karin.
At the Council meeting, the parties discussed progress in developing a draft document on combating illegal gambling and gambling addiction.
The State Counsellor noted that nowadays gambling addiction is becoming one of the main threats to national security. Considering that the younger generation of citizens is susceptible to gambling addiction, it is the Youth Policy Council that acts as the main coordinator and center for the fight against illegal gambling and gambling addiction.
Members of the Council expressed confidence that effective prevention and fight against gambling addiction should be systemic and implemented through the joint efforts of government agencies and society.
Following the working meeting, Yerlan Karin emphasized that today Kazakhstani youth are becoming not just the recipient of reforms, but the key driving force behind the planned transformations. The State Counsellor stated that the Council is a platform where the problems of youth are not only raised, but also resolved.
